The Ministry of Education & Science asked CCID to design three-year programs in business specialties. Students in all majors in this program take the same foundation courses during the first year. Then, they take a two-year program of courses specific to their proposed major. Foundation courses are meant as a bridge between school and college and supplement the knowledge that students have when they enter the college after high school graduation. The foundation courses are as follows: Introduction to Computing 1 & 2, Culture of Business Relations, Business and Professional English 1 & 2, Effective Business Communication, International Communication Skills, Introduction to Business, Small Business, Environment & Sustainable Development, The Way to a Successful Career, and Business Math. We are grateful for the input from Muscatine Community College on the foundation business courses and Moraine Valley for offering syllabi for the Business English program.
